Course Overview

 

Whether we agree with Jerry Seinfeld’s comments above or not, we should accept that presentation skills are a key part of business success. They are useful in making sales presentations to customers, briefing colleagues and team members, keeping shareholders informed, bidding for finance… and many more situations besides.

Speaking to an audience is therefore a key personal skill and one which we can all learn and benefit from.

 

This course is designed to provide delegates with a simple presentation structure, together with practical tips to give impact to your presentation.

  • The 4Ps of presentation
  • Plan the presentation (Who? Where? Why? What? How?)
  • Presentation structure (Opening, Main Body, Close),
  • Preparing the presentation & yourself
  • Visual aids - When to use them; advantages & disadvantages of different visual aids;)
  • The importance of practice and rehearsal
  • Communicating with your audience (Building rapport; Pacing for effect; Use of volume to engage audience members, Non-verbal communication)
  • Dealing with pre-presentation nerves
  • Dealing with questions
  • Handling difficult presentation situations
